In honor of my sportsmanship, the house offered by the Government of Sri Lanka under the guidance of the former Hon. Sajith Premadasa was a blessing from fate. 53 internationally acclaimed athletes live in this housing complex, with more than 300 people living in lowincome families who have lost their homes due to the tsunami and sea erosion. On the very first day that I was given the house and brought to show it, my mother, father and brother refused to live here. It is because of the dirty environment and the behavior of the ignorant people. But my point was the opposite, I wanted to live here. I felt I felt that this is the best place to start the change. In line with the environmental conservation programmes launched across the country, a cleanup campaign was launched in Moratuwa spearheaded by the Municipal Council over the weekend to clean a 10 kilometer coastal stretch. Under the programme initiated by Mayor Samanlal Fernando, the coastal areas in Koralawella, Lunawa, Angulana, Moratuwella and Egoda Uyana were cleaned up.   The Mayor, council members, police officials of Moratuwa and Angulana and civilians joined up in the cleanup campaign.
